2FA - Site User Initial Setup

Setting up two factor authentication for MSite

Step 1:

Download and install an authenticator app (such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator etc) on Android, iOS or Windows Phone.

 

Step 2:

Sign in to MSite with your username and password. When 2FA is enabled you will get the following screen:

Step 3:

Click Display Code to reveal the QR code which your authenticator app can scan to setup one time password.

 

 

Step 4:

Open chosen authenticator app and click on add account – this is usually a general account or the authenticator app may just ask you to Scan Barcode.

 

Step 5:

Use your phone to scan the QR square that is on your computer screen. Your MSite account will be added automatically to the app and will display a six-digit code

Step 5a:

If you are having issues with your camera /scanning the barcode you are able to to type in the code that is provided underneath the QR image. Your MSite account will be added automatically to the app and will display a six-digit code

Step 6:

Enter the 6-digit code into MSite and click Next.

 

Step 7:

You will be shown the below screen where you can click continue to go to MSite.

Using 2FA

Following the standard MSite username and password sign in you will be taken to the following screen where you should open your authenticator app and get the required 6-digit code.

Enter the 6-digit code into MSite and click Next.
