This article lists the error messages you may see when using the web fingerprint enrolment service, what they mean and how you can resolve them.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Browser - Google Chrome & Microsoft Internet Explorer 11+ are the only browsers currently supported for this application

Install the relevant USB driver for your version of Windows. This must be installed in order for the fingerprint reader to work with our APIs correctly.
- Unfiltered internet or open ports (80, 443), this may require input from your IT provider.
- Domain (.msitecloud.com) will need to be whitelisted if your company use a proxy server. This will likely require input from your IT provider.
Download - Windows Vista / Windows 7 USB driver v4.0.5.1.
Download - Windows 8 / Windows 10, the USB driver v10.0.0.1
NOTE - If you're not sure what version of Windows you are running, Navigate to Control Panel>System&Security>System or type 'System' in the search bar.
Insufficient Quality
If you have not reached the required minimum enrolment score (usually 50) then you will be prompted with the message below. In this case, try again using the steps outlined or consider using a different finger.
No Finger Present
You will see this message if you click capture, but no one places a finger on the device in the allotted time. Hit recapture and place finger on device.
Error 300: Please Reconnect Device
You will get this message if the fingerprint device isn't connected or if the driver listed in 'Requirements' is not installed for Windows 10. Please install the relevant driver and check that the device is attached and/or try plugging it into a different USB port.
If you are still experiencing these issues, please confirm that the relevant ports (80, 443) are open and that our domain (.msitecloud.com) is whitelisted if your company apply a proxy server. You will likely need to speak to your IT provider to assist on these checks.
Error 201: Please Close & Try Again
If you see this error you will need to contact support as Fingerprint Web Enrolment may not have been enabled for your company.
